The artifact became known as the Pliska Rosette. It has been dated between 7th-9th century A.D. and was most
likely a tool for astronomical computations.According to researchers, the 7 rays of the Rosette possibly represent
the main planets known by the ancients: the Sun, the Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Saturn.
The runic symbol "IYI" has been interpreted as "heaven" or "sky" and symblizes the Bulgarian god Tangra, as well
as a being the sign of the acient Bulgarian ruling clan Dulo. |
